I like this old round bar. I would like to find out more about it's history. You can't get cornered in a round bar.

aside from giraffes and old round bars, the mission this sunday was to find a Methvin street in Ponchatoula. I have tried to find it a few times before. I've tried riding around and hoping I would come across it. I printed a map off the net this sunday. I still had trouble finding it. The streets were crazy old and didn't go exactly as map had them.

on the way , we stopped at this speakeasy place. I wanted to find the Methvin lane and then come back. We did that with some mexican food in between.

there was a statue of Al Capone and Humphrey Bogart; so we snapped a few photos. They even locked up the statue of ol Al..

we found Methvin Street. The street wasn't very long and had some houses on it. Not new houses or old old houses... There are some Methvins listed in phonebook that live on the street. One day when, we have more time, I may stop and say hello to them and see what thier story is.

mission complete and full of tacos, we went back by the speakeasy place and had a beer and cheesecake. I fit right in with my fedora hat. I asked the bartender if you go a discount if you had on a cool hat. She looked bewildered and said no...

here's looking at you kid.
